I’m Dr. Andreea Moșila, a professor of political science and global security, author, Fulbright scholar, and storyteller. My work explores the intersections of climate change, human security, and the narratives that shape how we understand our world, from the fragile ecosystems of the Danube Delta to the vast expanse of outer space.

Global Security Lessons from The Three-Body Trilogy, forthcoming from Bloomsbury, explores contemporary and future security challenges through the world created by Liu Cixin in The Three-Body Problem, The Dark Forest, and Death’s End. Liu’s trilogy spans questions of survival, power, technological competition, deterrence, and humanity’s response to an existential threat on an unprecedented scale.
Using the trilogy as a lens for global security analysis, the book connects science fiction with real-world debates in international relations and security studies. It examines themes including realism and the security dilemma, deterrence, technological competition, information and intelligence, strategic deception, international cooperation, existential risk, space security, and the political and ethical consequences of decisions made under extreme uncertainty.
